A safety feature of the Columbia Precision Tang Peep Sight is that when
in the sighting position, the sight may be pushed forward before being stopped
by the base. This slack from detent to stop is designed to minimize injury to
the eye or forehead of the shooter.
GUNS
WITH HEAVY RECOIL MAY CAUSE ANY TANG MOUNTED PEEP SIGHT TO BE PUSHED UP AND BACK
TOWARD THE SHOOTER’S FACE. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL TO ALLOW FOR THIS WHEN
SHOOTING. THERE SHOULD BE AMPLE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SHOOTER’S EYE AND THE
SIGHT TO PREVENT INJURY. SHOOTING GLASSES SHOULD BE WORN FOR EYE PROTECTION.
LENGTHENING THE STOCK MAY BE NECESSARY TO PREVENT INJURY.
